Oshawa is home to many beautiful trails and parks for you to explore with your furry friend and offers ample free parking (especially on the weekend). Enjoy the amazing views of Lake Ontario with a jaunt through Lakeview Park Oshawa, enjoy the tranquil surroundings of the Oshawa Valleylands Conservation Area, or take your buddy for a walk through the stunning Oshawa Valley Botanical Gardens and Kinsman Park (if you're lucky you may even catch the salmon run). Stop by in June to enjoy the annual Peony Festival!
Your pup won't want to miss a trip to the Harmony Valley Dog Park for an off-leash adventure in this spectacular park. Boasting several trails that meander through forests, fields, and streams it is a terrific way for your pet to interact with others and to get to know some of the local animal residents. This dog park adjoins the Harmony Valley Conservation area, where you can enjoy an on-leash walk perfect for pooches that may be a little shy or apprehensive of other dogs. Alternatively, you can check out Sniffspot lists private homes that have opened their yards for other pet owners to use for a small fee.
