On Friday, November 15, The Living Room Community Art Studio Art Bus will be present at the City of Oshawa’s Bright and Merry Market and Tree Lighting Ceremony. From 5 to 9 p.m., the market features free entertainment such as buskers and carollers, family-friendly activities, and the many inventive art projects that The Living Room Community Art Studio Art Bus hosts at the many different events they attend. The Living Room Community Art Studio Art Bus began as an innovative art hive and safe space in Oshawa where one can create and connect through free art-making experiences.

The Bright and Merry Market takes place on Centre St., Memorial Park, and Civic Square at City Hall. While present, note that City Hall also hosts art exhibitions in the hallway leading into the Council Chambers. To celebrate the City of Oshawa's 100th anniversary in 2024, four artists were selected to present work that connects to the City. The artists are Shay Onroy, Tracy Davidson, Parul Kanda, and Marissa Sweet. The exhibit is available for viewing during City Hall hours.
