Winter is Still Here - Embrace it with an Afternoon of Skating!

As the calendar turns to March, we may be anticipating the warmth of spring to arrive. Unfortunately, Mother Nature has other plans, with more snow on the horizon. But that doesn't mean you can't enjoy some winter fun! Oshawa has a variety of indoor and outdoor skating locations where you can embrace the cold weather and get your adrenaline pumping.

The City of Oshawa has opened two outdoor rinks: Delpark Homes Centre and South Oshawa Community Centre. Have fun skating at the Delpark Homes Centre from 9 a.m. to 10

p.m., or head to the South Oshawa Community Centre from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Rather hit the indoor rink scene? No problem! Oshawa has public skating available at three locations across the city, including the Delpark Communities Centre, Harman Park Arena, and the Donovan Recreation Complex. Click here for skate times and upcoming free public skates.

Need a little help finding the perfect place to warm up? We've got you covered!

Skating in Oshawa is a great way to stay active and have fun. But after a long day out in the cold, you should definitely find somewhere to warm up and relax. Fortunately, there are plenty of places in Oshawa where you can find warmth and comfort after a day on the ice. From cozy cafes to inviting pubs, here are some of my favourite spots to enjoy hot food, drinks, and more.

The Upper Keg restaurant is the perfect place to enjoy a hot meal with friends and family. Menu features include a variety of wraps, sandwiches, pasta, burgers, and poutines - you can find something for everyone. The family-friendly atmosphere makes the Upper Keg a great spot to fill those little tummies that may be joining you.
